We are:

THE MUSTARD SEEDS. Growing Closer to God.
We are The Chaplaincy Team for our school.

What is our Mission?

To get to know Jesus as our friend and to help others do the same.

What is our role?

To grow closer to God and to help others grow closer to God.
To help our school be a community built on the teachings of Jesus.
To help our pupils have good relationships with everyone in our school community and beyond.

How will we do this?

We will help to lead Collective Worship.
We will organise displays to help us pray and grow closer to God.
We will organise and involve everyone in celebrations and fundraising events.
We will keep in touch with everyone in our school and parish community.

Our May Procession

We were delighted when we heard that our first big job was to organise the May Procession.

We didn’t realise how much we had to do. We thought we just had to make a lovely crown with beads and flowers for Our Lady.

People who were good at Art designed prayer sheets and posters for the Prayer Garden. We made some lovely Bible logs too. One of our favourite jobs was decorating beautiful baskets for rose petals. We wanted to throw the flowers on the ground for the little children to follow.

After we practiced the prayers, we made little altars for everyone to stop at during their journey.

Angel loved getting Lilly from Class 1 to go into our grotto to get Our Lady’s crown. When we got to the garden it was beautiful and everyone sang and dropped flowers and prayers at Mary’s feet. We loved Class 2’s blue and white prayer bracelets.

Fr. Jerry gave all the Mustard Seeds a special blessing. There are 12 of us just like the 12 friends of Jesus.

Mrs. Williams said we had done a good job and added, ‘it was all lovely.’

Matthew said, ‘it was prayerful.’ Joseph and Stanley in Class 2 said, ‘It was really, really good.’ Jedrzej said, ‘I liked it.’ Charli said, ‘it was fun.’ Reece said, ‘it was awesome.’

We meet in the Art Area every Wednesday lunch time. Look out for our newsletter coming soon. It will include an exciting competition for children and grown-ups.
